What is Onyx Radio?

Onyx Radio is a Windows desktop application that brings real-time push-to-talk (PTT) radio communication to online communities. Think of it like a walkie-talkie for your group — press a key, talk, release, and everyone in your channel hears you instantly.

It's built for roleplay communities, gaming groups, and any team that needs an immersive, radio-style voice experience beyond what standard voice chat offers.

How it works

Onyx Radio uses your Discord account to identify you. Once logged in, you join or create a community (server) using an invite code. Inside that community you can tune into channels and talk using your configured PTT key.

Voice is transmitted in real-time over the internet. All members listening to the same channel hear you simultaneously with low latency.

Free vs Pro

Onyx Radio has two tiers:

• Free — Create a server, invite up to 25 members, full PTT and channel access.
• Pro — Unlimited members, priority voice routing, server banner and accent colour customization, and the ability to change your server's invite code.

Pro is activated via a license key purchased at onyxradio.xyz.
